The Vision

The Need to Gather and Celebrate
Vancouver, the fourth largest city in the State of Washington, is the only city of its size without a dedicated center for the arts. And we're still growing!
Population for the Greater Vancouver area
is estimated to be 430,000 by the year 2023. Our community has never been more ready for an arts center than at this time.
Elevating Arts & Culure
Over 60 arts and cultural organizations call Southwest Washington their home. Our local arts organizations will grow and deepen engagement with their audiences because of the enhanced experience provided in a state-of-the-art venue.
A Cultural Destination
The Center for the Arts would develop a creative marketplace and iconic trade center for talent within creative industries — All accessible on our side of the river.

Strategic planning for a state-of-the-art facility is underway to best equip the Center with high quality environments for performances and presentations. The Center will be an exciting and flexible destination for regional and national entertainment with accessibility for guest speakers and conventions taking place at adjacent hotels. Ample parking will ensure easy walking distance to the Center’s location.

The Auditorium, a flexible and well-equipped concert space for large gatherings, will feature performances and main event speakers.

The Studio Theater, complete with a sound system and flexible seating, is designed to accommodate small-to-moderate performances and intimate gatherings. This multi-functional space will also serve as an elegant space for lectures, small conferences, and private special events.

The Rehearsal Studio will accommodate guest speakers, performers, and resident companies rehearsing for main stage events. The space would also be available to rent for small gatherings.

The Center will have well-equipped conference rooms available for community meetings and small lectures.

The front lobby will house a visitor information center and a box office counter. Ground floor may also include a cafe and lounge area, as well as an inviting outdoor plaza welcoming guests and passing visitors.

The Art Gallery will house rotating exhibitions of work by artists ranging from amateur to professional levels. This space may also accommodate artist receptions to engage audiences through visual arts.

A fully-functioning culinary space available for special events to utilize for kitchen prep and food storage.

Nearby parking structures will be available at a walkable distance to accommodate events.
