Ballerina Mirror - crop

Friends and Artists,

We have seen a year of synergy, direction, and momentous traction for our organization. Today we're reflecting back on some of our highlights from 2021.

Thanks to our community's growing support, we are closer than ever before to achieving our mission, building upon robust efforts to evaluate the most strategically feasible and culturally vibrant location for our facility. Our proposal development and ongoing community engagement have been designed to go hand in hand, as we have collected feedback from our civic leaders, artists, donors, business community, and partners in our focus group series. We developed new branding, with the help from our friends at Riff Creative, and launched a new website that tells our story.

With a successful year of site and concept exploration, community engagement, and leadership development, our team is ready to step up to the challenge for 2022! Thanks to artists, donors, partners, and readers like you, we continue our mission to build a Center for the Arts that will enrich and inspire our region.

Thank you for helping us keep the arts accessible, thought-provoking and vibrant. Together we can set the stage for a future where the arts are always growing and thriving for everyone.

Wishing you a wonderful holiday season!

Exit Laughing Pacific Stageworks

THEATRE | Exit Laughing

When the biggest highlight in your life for the past 30 years has been your weekly night out with the "girls," what do you do when one of your foursome inconveniently dies? If you're Connie, Leona, and Millie, you do the most daring thing you've ever done. You "borrow" the ashes from the funeral home for one last card game, and the wildest, most exciting night of your lives involves a police raid, a stripper and a whole new way of looking at all the fun you can have when you're truly living.

Columbia Dance Nutcracker

DANCE | The Nutcracker

Columbia Dance presents a whimsical holiday adventure with a historical twist! Their new Nutcracker will weave Vancouver history into a holiday children's tale! Join us this December at Skyview Concert Hall, or livestream from home, for the debut of the brand new Act 1 with never-before-seen costumes, sets, and choreography inspired by Fort Vancouver in the 1840's. The new Act 1 will be coupled with the final year of Columbia Dance's traditional Act 2. Tickets now available online!

Reimagined Radio Christmas Sampler

BROADCASTING | A Radio Christmas Sampler

This year we thought to try something different. Rather than an adaptation of A Christmas Carol, Re-Imagined Radio celebrates the Christmas holidays with a sampler of radio shows including the Jack Benny Program, Rocky Fortune, The Damon Runyon Theatre, Bing Crosby and the Kraft Music Hall, Metropolitan Performing Arts, Suspense, and more. Since 2013 Re-Imagined Radio has offered a holiday celebration. We continue this tradition with "A Radio Christmas Sampler." Tune in on December 20!

Fun for the whole family, come see timeless Peanuts characters come to life in a fun, high spirited musical.
